About criminal record for ILR?

hi there i need some help about a new rule effect on 6 april 2011 about a criminal record . to be honest i dont know about that just before a week to submit my ilr i knew that this is compulsory now now could someone help me what to do now as i have only a week left to submit my ilr application by person in croydon and i dont have CRB check record and 1 more thing to ask that am i eligable to do a CRB check as i am entered in the uk on july 2009 or it doesn't effect on my case.
